I wanted this place to be good. My roomate and I stopped by on the way home from work. The miso was cold and the beer warm. The rolls I ordered were *Meh*, and the service not so hot. She brought me the wrong check at first, then when she brought me the correct check she asked me if I wanted my change. I told here yes ( I put 2 twenties down)... after waiting about 10 minutes for her to reappear, I gave up and left deciding I wouldn't be coming back.

Came here on a Saturday just after noon to order takeout. We were told it'd be about 20 minutes but it ended up being about 40 minutes. Once I got my food I realized I was given 6 orders of salmon rolls (for a total of 36 rolls) instead of 6 rolls. This was resolved by the server and removed from my bill. The sushi itself was very good. It was fresh and well presented. I asked my server for suggestions when ordering and she recommended the Rainbow Rolls and wow were those great. I'll be back... but I'll be careful to place my order more precisely.

For a sushi place that is in walking distance to work I'd say it's pretty good. The miso soup was tasty.Their ginger is actually really really good!I always order the lion king roll but they put shrimp tempura in it! Sadness. I need to tell them to use california roll stuffing instead. All in All a good spot for a quick lunch from work.Minus 1 start because the servers were friendly but the food came out with all the wrong timing. 2 people in our party got their food first and finished it before me and the other person got ours.

The service at I Sushi today was great. The server checked on me regularly and kept my tea cup filled. For a change I had one of the Bento box lunch selections. It was really tasty -- well prepared. A competitive price compared to the other sushi restaurants we like.

I got delivery and six stars for the care they put into their food. I ordered the shrimp tempura and they cut a small hole in the corner of the styrofoam container to let the moisture out. It arrived fresh and crispy --- without melting the package. The soft shell crab was arranged beautifully in a similar container, placed at a careful diagonal facing the sauce container, with a deep green parsley leaf between the pieces. The fish for the nigiri had a rich full color and a fresh, robust flavor. There was a bone in one of the salmon pieces. But it was a high quality cut.We had an issue with the delivery. So one star off the six. I'd bet money it was the owner delivering. If so, delivering food is not her thing. With the detail she puts into the food, hey, no sweat.

After a year of coming here, still I believe they deserve the five star rating. The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious. I enjoy coming here and only wished I could more often then not. Tried the 49er roll, and chicken fried rice while drinking a nice cold Asahi...

Let me start by saying my first visit was maybe only the second time I had ever tried sushi. Over the course of the next 11 weeks I was back there at least once a week, often two or three times. I'm still fairly tame with my sushi choices but I've tried and enjoyed many new types visiting I Sushi. It's a great place for quick, super friendly service. Go there often enough and they're likely to remember your name and favourite order. Next time I'm back in Cupertino I'll be sure to go back again.

At the very best, this place is mediocre - don't bother!! I can think of 10 other sushi places off the top of my head that have better food and are more reasonably priced.-1 star for service. On a Friday night, there was a grand total of 1 waitress serving 6 parties, one of which was a group of 20+ teenagers celebrating a birthday. We waited ages for her to come take our order, then ages for the food, then ages for the check. Also, she never bothered to clear tables once guests left, so there were dirty dishes and leftover food on each and every one of the tables around us - no joke.-1 star for portion size. We ordered 2 rolls between the 2 of us (which has always been enough at other sushi restaurants) and left hungry.-1 star for price. Given the seriously tiny size of the rolls, they were WAY overpriced!Having a hard time understanding the 4 star average... We definitely will not be coming back.

The quality of the sushi was alright, but the reason for my low rating is that this place can't handle a large crowd. We came here for a birthday dinner as a party of 10. We ordered 10 different rolls, and some one also ordered a bento box. The bento box came after 20 minutes of waiting, and the rest of the rolls didn't START coming out until 1hr and 30 mins later! Yes, that's correct. We could have ordered, left to see a movie, and still wouldn't have any sushi in front of us.The owners must have felt bad for us because they gave us 2 complimentary rolls (CA and philadelphia roll) and beer for our table, but we still felt irritated for the wait. I don't know how any many sushi chefs they have back there, but we counted more than 15 rolls going out to the other tables that were seated after us.How can they call themselves "I Sushi" when their bento boxes come out AN HOUR before the sushi does???

My favorite neighborhood restaurant. I also work nearby and I regularly have lunch here since they opened the place. Very friendly service, reasonably priced, and consistently good food. My kids love the place and prefer it to other sushi places that they've tried in Cupertino.

I would probably give this place a 3.5 stars because of the convenience. Sushi is about average but that doesn't mean it's bad. Pricing is not bad as well and the service was pretty good last time I was there. Not bad food, not bad service, and not bad pricing equals a not bad experience. Couple that with the fact that it's in a very convenient location near Paul and Eddies and you got an almost solid experience. I have no doubt that I Sushi needs a little improvement but I think it's doing alright so far. If it can continue to improve the quality of its food, then I can definitely see myself becoming a regular here.

The owners are not Japanese. The miso soup was not right and they have tons of those strange "non-Japanese" rolls. However, I had sabashio with a few pieces of nigiri sushi and it was pretty good. Service was friendly. I'll try it again.

I Sushi is literally two minutes from my bf's house, so when I stay there, I always have the urge to order take-out from here because their Chirashi is amaaaaahhhhzing. The quantity and variety is so good for just $16.95, which includes a small side of seaweed salad. Yum. Fish has always been fresh. The last time I ordered, they forgot to include wasabi, which kind of ruined it for me, but they did give me a complimentary miso soup, so I guess it's alright... but who forgets the wasabi?!I've dined in a few times, and service is always so accommodating. Again, food and portion sizes are solid. My only complaint is that they are usually out of multiple items on their menu. They never seem to have ankimo (my favorite), or oysters for their oyster shooters. They did offer me an uni shooter instead, which was delicious.

I'd have to agree with Diana T. Does Cupertino have a lower standard for sushi? The service was great; nothing to complain about. But the food was nothing to write home about. I am coming from the city and wanted to try a sushi place and I Sushi came up on the app with 4 stars! Wow, can't go wrong here. Well, the portions were small and the food was bland. Perhaps there is just more competition in San Francisco, but this was just barely passable. I can't recommend this place and I really hope Cupertino has more to offer.

Hi, I was looking up your sushi menu when a song suddenly came on. I know this might appeal to some but i want to say that if you have an option to turn off the music that would be great. I'm looking at your menu, not to listen to a song. Thank you.
